Latest changes to Japan’s entry procedures beginning

- FIT / Independent travel is now allowed. Travelers will no longer need to avail of guided or unguided package tours to visit Japan as a tourist.
- Existing multiple entry visas can be used again to visit Japan. The Embassy announced that the lifting of the multiple entry visa suspension will happen on October 11, 2022, which means that the multiple entry visa will become valid for use.
- Sinovac is now a recognized vaccine by the Japanese Government. Beginning October 11, 2022, the Japanese Government will adhere to the World Health Organization’s Emergency Use List of COVID-19 vaccines, which now includes Sinovac.
- Daily entry cap is lifted. The Japanese Government will no longer impose a limit on inbound travelers to Japan beginning October 11, 2022.
