Day 4: South Shore Adventure

Breakfast at hotel.

Visit the amazing South Shore of Iceland crossing fertile farmlands with striking views over waterfalls, glaciers and beautiful nature. These tour are the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls. What makes Seljalandsfoss so famous and interesting is that you can walk behind it. We recommend you bring either a raincoat or a waterproof coat along if you want to stroll behind it which we of course highly recommend. Skogafoss, another famous Icelandic waterfall is something of a film star, having been used as a backdrop in films such as Thor: The Dark World, Game of Thrones, Eurovision Song Contest: the Story of Fire Saga, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

You will also stop at Reynisfjara black sand beach, with the Reynisdrangar rock formations and columnar basalt. It is one of the most spectacular beaches in Iceland. Important: Reynisfjara beach can be quite dangerous due to powerful “sneaker waves“, and you must not go too close to the ocean. Please follow all guidelines at the beach.

You will also stop at Solheimajokull glacier tongue and enjoy the view (Please note: Glacier walk is not included).

When you reach Langjökull glacier you will board a scheduled monster 8-wheel glacier truck (shared truck ride) that will take you high up the slopes to reach the entrance of the ice cave.
