Quarantine Free Travels in Asia

Wanting to Travel within Asia but worried of Covid Restrictions? Worry No More! Here are 8 countries that does not require passengers to undergo quarantine anymore:

1. MALAYSIA

First on our list is Malaysia. Malaysia has recently updated their procedures for inbound passengers starting May 1. Fully vaccinated travelers are allowed to enter Malaysia without quarantine. However, it may differ in some parts of Malaysia. If you are entering East Malaysia (Sabah or Sarawak), you will need to contact the Malaysian High Commission, and your airline as there are immigration rules in the place. Unvaccinated travellers may enter Malaysia once they meet the quarantine and testing requirements.

2. SINGAPORE

Second is Singapore. From April 1, Singapore has reopened their borders to all fully-vaccinated travelers from the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) general travel category counties/regions. The multi-ministry taskforce for COVID-19 (MTF) announced that all full vaccinated travelers from any country or region will be allowed to enter Singapore quarantine-free, as long as they have not visited any countries or regions on the MOH’s Restricted Category in the past seven days.

3. INDONESIA

Indonesian and international citizens who own a KITAS or KITAP with a negative Covid-19 test result but are not vaccinated must get their vaccine shot as they arrive in Indonesia. Travelers who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons but have been tested negative for Covid-19 must undergo quarantine upon arrival. International travelers are also required to take a swab test as they arrive in Indonesia and can continue their journey once tested negative but must go into quarantine that is not paid by the government if the test results show positive for coronavirus.

4. CAMBODIA

Cambodia has open its borders to all international travelers. For vaccinated travelers, you must present a proof of vaccination or vaccination card. For unvaccinated travelers, if entering via air, you must complete a 7 days quarantine and take a COVID-19 test on day 7. If entering by land, you must take two COVID-19 test. one on the first day before entering quarantine and one on the second day.

5. VIETNAM

Vietnam also re-opened their borders for international travelers who presents a negative RT-PCR test result. For travelers entering via air, you must present a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result (except children under 2 years old) within 72 hours before entry into Vietnam. Or have a negative rapid test result within 24 hours before departure, certified by the competent authority of the country where the test is performed. For travelers entering via land, rail and sea routes: Present negative test result as mentioned in section above. In case not presenting proof of a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 as specified above, entrants are required to undergo a SARS-CoV-2 test at the border gate before entry. Upon receiving a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result, they are allowed to enter and join tour activities. If the RT – PCR test result returns positive, they must follow strictly the regulations of the health authority. Children under 2 years old are not required to be tested for SARS-CoV-2. Having not been vaccinated against COVID-19 or having never been infected with SARS-CoV-2 before, they are allowed to enter and to join outdoor activities with their parents and relatives.

6. Thailand

Travelers from all countries, states, and/or territories are welcome to visit and stay in Thailand. You might prepare these requirements before entering Thailand you need to secure a Thailand Pass QR Code via https://tp.consular.go.th/. What is a Thailand pass? The Thailand Pass is a web-based system to fill in your travel and health information. This system applies to all travelers, including Thai citizens. Upon approval, you will receive a QR code to travel to Thailand. Second, Proof of vaccination and lastly, is a travel insurance

7. India

Passengers who are fully vaccinated are exempted to a mandatory quarantine to India. All foreign arrivals have to fill a self-declaration form online (Air Suvidha web portal), including a travel history of the past 14 days. They must also upload a negative RT-PCR test conducted within 72 hours of the departure date.

8. Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) has relaxed rules related to the Covid-19 pandemic for foreign tourists and local residents who have been fully vaccinated. From February 26, 2022, foreign tourists will not need to show the results of a PCR test before flying to Abu Dhabi if they have been fully vaccinated, according to information from Visit Abu Dhabi. However, for entrants who have not received a complete vaccination or have not been vaccinated, they must still show a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours. What are you waiting for?
