Day 1 (- / L /D)
0600hrs, leave Manila for a road trip about 4hours to Baguio know as the Summer Capital of the Philippines. Along the route, you witness the remnants of the lahar torn towns of the province of Pampanga and Tarlac. Upon arrival, visit Burnham Park that is located in the heart of the city. A small man-made lake in the middle of the park adds charm to the whole place. You can come here to take a walk, enjoy recreational activities like boating, or simply be on the lap of nature away from chaos. Baguio Cathedral is located nearby and is known for its unique pink façade with a rose window. Its twin towers adorn the skyline of the city from last century. Established in 1907, this place of worship is popular amongst locals and travelers alike.
Day 2 (B / L / D)
Enjoy visiting Baguio Botanical Garden. This botanical garden is established minutes away from the center of the city and opens early in the morning. You can explore a small cave along with different types of gardens that are located on its premises. Spending a couple of hours will give you a chance to learn about local plants and flowers. Many people also prefer to visit Wright Park in the afternoon. This lovely park is one of the lesser known places in Baguio and is often visited by locals. The park offers several outdoor recreational activities and also has a small pond in the middle. You can go to Baguio City Public market as the sun goes down. This bustling local market is full of places where you can go shopping in Baguio.
Leave hotel to BenCab Museum. This museum is located in Tuba, Benguet and takes around half an hour to reach from Downtown Baguio. If you are interested in learning about the art and culture of Baguio, this is the place to be. The museum has different exhibits and displays that are dedicated to several Filipino artists. But, its main focus is on artworks by Benedicto Reyes Cabrera. Visit the Tam-Awan Village. This is a reconstructed village that will give you a glimpse of bygone days. Lastly, visit the Bell Church. The church is nestled away from all the hustle and bustle. A lovely Buddhist temple also has a pagoda and a small pond on its premises.
Check out at the hotel and visit Mines View Park. Enjoy the breathtaking and overlooking view of abandoned gold and copper mines and nearby mountains. Toss a coin and try your luck on the wishing well. Rent a costume and take a selfie and enjoy souvenir shopping before returning to Manila.
