    PTAA represents the Philippine Travel Sector in various international and national associations. PTAA also sits in the tourism councils of the local government units.

    The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) is a fairly young organization born out of a union of the national associations of the outbound travel agencies and inbound tour operators in 1979. Founded to foster unity in the travel industry and to promote the welfare of its members and the travelling public as well, the PTAA has evolved into one that now plays a vital role both in the national and international tourism levels.


    The Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), Inc. is an organization of tour operators and allied members actively involved in the advocacy of responsible tourism. Founded on 12 June 1986, non-stock and non-profit organization. The membership includes travel agencies, hotel, resorts, transportation companies, handicraft stores, and other tourism-oriented establishments and association.


    Skål is the only international organisation which brings together all branches of the Travel & Tourism Industries. Representing the industry's managers and executives,Skålleagues meet at local, national and international level in an environment of friendship to discuss subjects of common interest.

    Department of Tourism (DOT)

    The Department of Tourism (DOT) is the primary government agency charged with the responsibility to encourage, promote, and develop tourism as a major socio-economic activity to generate foreign currency and employment and to spread the benefits of tourism to both the private and public sector.




    The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 240 airlines or 84% of total air traffic. We support many areas of aviation activity and help formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues.

    IATA accreditation is a seal of approval recognized worldwide. IATA is committed to working with all travel agencies to improve customer service and choice.
